About Connected Arena

Connected Arena is a real-time multiplayer fan engagement ecosystem built entirely on AWS. It was conceptualized and developed as our entry for the AWS Sports AI Innovation Cup 2026 (Challenge 4).

We believe that watching live sports shouldn't be a passive experience. By harnessing real DFL Bundesliga match data and bringing it into a synchronized, gamified environment, we allow fans to react together, make split-second predictions before key events like free kicks, and climb a live leaderboard.

Powered by AWS & Generative AI

The platform achieves zero-latency updates using Amazon API Gateway WebSockets, scales seamlessly using AWS Lambda, and is entirely serverless. To elevate the immersion, we integrated Amazon Bedrock (Claude Haiku) to generate personalized, dynamic AI commentary based on the real-time match events.
